Did you know that virtually every female astronaut who has flown in space was a Girl Scout alumna? Did you know that the late Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia in the Star Wars franchise, was also a Girl Scout?
Come explore our universe with Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida at our Galactic Girls event on Saturday, November 4, 2017! Learn about stars and constellations, and listen to multicultural folklore and mythology. In this out-of-this-world program, you will learn about astronomical discoveries and the women who helped make them. Women in Science have made amazing discoveries about our solar system. However, we are only on the brink of understanding the boundless limits of the universe and beyond.
